The list below gives some cheap ways to secure your home:

* Never leave a ladder outside the home. A thief could easily, and they are doing to gain access to a second floor window.

* Keep an eye out for a strange car on the block. It could be a thief check out the fate of you or your neighbors. Write down the vehicle description and license number. Do not be ashamed to call the police report suspicious vehicle.

* Purchasea timer that automatically turns on the lights and turn your home when you are away.

* If you go on vacation, be mowing the lawn, the document collection, leaves raked and snow shoveled. So it should look like you are home.
